Hi everyone, Do you know of a vet in Germany that is within the 48hr window Pet Passport scheme for our drive back to Calais.

We have a Golden Retriever, who has her own Frontline and Drontal. Any idea on cost?

We'll be doing the Mosel & Rhine valleys and Lake Constance/Munich for 3 weeks starting Thursday 10th Sept. Can't wait...........although weather is looking good here now for the next 10 days............are we to miss the English 'indian' summer as well this year?

Vet

Dont know about Vets in Germany.

BUT we returned to Calais with Roxy and were able to squeeze in an appointment just on 25hr before sailing. (so meeting the 24hr deadline)

They were VERY accomodating and stay open til 7.00pm

This was our first M/H European trip, so also our first with hound. We had a great time as she was welcome everywhere.

As for the cost... we paid 32 Euros. We had our own Frontline, but our vet forgot to give us the Drontal.

Hope you have a great time. You have at least 3 Funsters full of envy.

You might want to try and find some info about HM Forces out there, as a lot of people take their pets with them and will need to do the vet thing when travelling back. I know there were friendly and english speaking vets near to Moenchengladbach- which has a large military population. Might be worth a try, if you search for HIVE this is a organisation that helps new military based in Germany.
