I have recently bought a new to me car and taxed it for twelve months, I have since bought a personal number plate and sent of all the relevant paperwork of to DVLA I have now got the new V5c document back with all the correct details on it and have now changed the number plate to my personalised one

I am going over the dartford crossing this week and applied on line for my tickets i typed in my reg No but it did not recognise it .That got me thinking went on DVLA site and typed reg No in DVLA does not recognise reg No does this mean my car is or not taxed

Dartford crossing wouldn't be interested in whether it was taxed or not. I don't think you can pay 'in advance' on line , only by
post ?
I've just looked & it definitely appears one off, in advance is post only.
