Hi All,

my van has a Strikeback Growler fitted, I'm changing insurance company's this time to Comfort as they seem to want my business,

They asked about alarms etc and I told them what I had fitted, my question , is the SG classed as a Thatcham type approved alarm?

As far as I am aware yes we have the Strikeback and that was accepted by Safeguard.

Yes, its a Thatcham approved Cat 2 > 1 system

Likewise I have had Strikeback fitted recently .....but can one get a rebate from the Insurers if I am 6 months in the middle of an exisiting policy ?

Your factory fitted immobiliser makes it a Cat 2. Add the Strikeback and you're upgraded to the equivalent of a cat 1 called Category 2 - 1

we with comfort and have strikeback fitted they accept it as cat1 as Jim states above.
