Has any one been to Valkenburg in Holland for the Christmas market or stayed at Camping den Driesch? Any comments welcome

Stayed there a few years ago over Christmas. I remember that the pitches were a bit tight to get into due to low trees. The markets are in the caves which is different.
Having done it I would say that it's a long journey to see the same Cristmas tat that you can see at your local garden centre. Don't let me put you off going though.

We went in 2007, really enjoyed it. On weds and saturdays lovely parade through the town with dancing and music. Would highly recommend.......BUSBY

Yes. No. Yes.

Great place when the sun shines and you can sit in the town dining in the open air, people watching. Take the cable car and do the toboggan run.

Can't imagine why you would go to get cold and ripped off.

What I have seen of holland apart from Amsterdam I'd avoid it like the plague

Only saying what I'd do, who takes any notice of me But seriously can't see the need to go up there with all the markets they have in France , cheaper , closer and probably just the same old tat

But saying that , not Christmas but new year, no better place to be than Amsterdam
