How long is it usually before you receive the V5 for a new motorhome from DVLA. We've had ours for two weeks now and not received it.

Also what paperwork would you normally get from the dealer upon purchase? All we got was an invoice and the manufacturer's warranty. I am sure I saw mention of something else - Certificate of Conformity??

Receipted invoice is usual, and the V5 took about 3 weeks to arrive

You should have all the instructions books for fittings (e.g. heater, hot water boiler, alarm instructions, Fiat - or other - books, any supplier details including weights, gas deposit receipt for any bottles, gas and electrical safety certificates and so forth). My dealer (Elite) gave me an over shoulder satchel effort with everything in

Best to keep a copy of the MH brochure for sales purposes

V5 should take three to six weeks to reach you.

We bought an Auto-Trail and got a Certificate of Conformity with ours.

We got a wheelbarrow full of manuals, warranties etc and the V5 turned up before we collected the vehicle. CoC and invoice arrived later.

The base vehicle paperwork is usually excessive - the documentation for the gadgets and gizmos is more to the point. I also downloaded a couple of manuals about the power system which came in handy.

With DVLA anything from 3 or 4 days to 5 or 6 weeks. You should get 2 or 3 Certificates of Conformity, the Fiat one, an Al-Ko one if you have an Al-Ko chassis and the converters one, only the last one is important.

You should have a COC the police or other govt road agency theoretically may ask you to produce it, in mainland Europe also.

Yes, we have got a large wallet full of manuals. It was the CoC I was thinking about, I would have thought the dealer should have given us that.

I received my v5 on Thursday and I don't pick the van up until this Thursday. The coc on my last van was locked in a office , said they would send it on, maybe because they knew it was overweight.

they have been so wrong on so many levels.
@Jim we should be allowed an occasional descriptive swear word with a perhaps an unsuitable adjective every once in a while ! ;)
