just returned from DVLA Beverley.

only gripe was as the current tax has expired i didnt want to tax it just yet but.....

sorry we cant alter the V5 unless you re-tax it now.
if you SORN it you will have to come back and change it when you re-tax it.

not getting any use this month so why pay for this months tax !!!!

i noticed Alko got it wrong again.
they checked their records and supplied a new cert of compliance and uprated the gross to 3850kg:thumb:, reduced the train to 5200kg:Sad: then swapped my 2.8Td engine for a 2.8JTD motor.oh:


DVLA also printed the address wrong on the V5 when we first bought it.

i filled in the V5 'new owner' section so i know that was correct but they spelt my house name as STONEYBRIDGE when its actually STONERIDGE

can no-one read documents anymore.:Angry:

after yet another phonecall to DVLA i find my V5's in a queue awaiting amendment and will be around another two weeks before reissued.

how can it possibly take so long

Haven't you heard about the volcanic ash cloud. Buggers everything up in the government offices.

At last.....

new V5 today with PHGV and a printed gross weight of 3850kg.

still no alteration to train weight though and as this is an exact 'copy' of data held by DVLA, it shall remain at 2000kg trailer weight regardless of what Alko said.
