A lot of pèople think the Samsung fit hardware & software on their recent phones is a gimmick. Well if you use it properly its not and I have lost a lot of weight using the system.
You can enter what you eat into the system for a calorie count from an extensive database including many supermarket products. You can accurately measure your daily activity (and calorie burn) plus give yourself goals using the system and also measure your heartbeat and o2 levels.
Overall it has worked very well for me and you have loads of data on how you are doing. I have lost over a stone using the system.

I'm using MyNetDiary (just over a stone lost since start of year). Another very similar and popular one is MyFitnessPal.

Having an iPhone I'm not sure whether the OP is using an app or if it is something specific on the samsung.

I am using the stock s health app which was on my galaxy note 4 and integrates with the phones sensors , but there are plenty of other apps like myfitnesspal which is free in the playstore.

    It doesn't work!

I'm still (at least) the same weight.

It keeps "beeping" and telling me to have a walk.

It told me this morning that I had been "inactive for two hours"!

    I am still in bed.

What does it want me to do?

No no Funsters... Not at my age...

    JJ

We use FitnessPal on our Samsungs plus the SHealth one that comes with the phone.
We've both lost a fair bit of weight using these along with Portion Control plates.

FitnessPal Jans favourite is superb for measuring what you eat especially the nutrient information, helped her no end shows you where you're going wrong with your diet.
I like SHealth for the exercise and fitness uses.

It wants you to get out of your wan:h:ing chariot and get some excersize :rofl::rofl:
But seriously if you follow the calorie counter and do some excersize it does help, and no FB pies tho very high saturated fat levels..

How are you getting on with your note 4 I looove the snote function and the pen oh and the screen of course. Much faster and less buggy than my S2 (y):)

I can only say from experience when I dont eat fat, the pounds drop off rapidly......not sure about that guy you linked to, not really impressed with his background for such radical assertions.

Don't need app's, gadgets or strange diets to slim, just eat less and exercise more.

I tried one of the calorie counter apps all it told was I wasn't eating nowhere near enough, does mean I don't have to feel guilty when tucking into the cream cakes.:)
