Update from Luss (1 Viewer)

Hi, just some info in case anyone else goes to the CCC site at Luss. Had a good week, weather not as bad as forecast. Site is OK depending where you are. A lot of pitches are overgrown with trees. Would not have liked to be on one of those, no tele, no light and no phone signal. If you go, try to get pitch 1 or 4. We were on 4, Sky signal 89% strength and 89% quality. Phone GPRS only though wi fi available (at a cost) Buses out of summer season not too great but plenty all over from Balloch. Nice village but only one shop which to be fair sells most of what you may need.

Indeed we did. Due to weather we did not do as much walking as we would have liked
(tops all covered in low cloud) but we did enjoy the break. As I say we were fortunate in that we got a good pitch couldn't put up with the low lght levels in some of the other pitches though.

Luss CCC site

We arrived at Luss (north of Glasgow) late after- noon after travelling up from the Lake 's.
The site was, I thought, rather run down, a coat of paint and the grass tidied up would have made the site more presentable, but it was the end of the season, 1st week in October. We had a gravel pitch overlooking LOCH LOMOND lovely views!!!
TV signal was great FREEVIEW all chanels, Vodaphone good too. Nice village to walk to, lovely tea shop, and a good meal in the restaurant in the evening. We moved on to Fort William after our stay.
