We are travelling through Germany in the summer and will be ordering an umweltplakette. Can anyone tell me from experience if we are likely to get a green badge for our 2011 Hymer? I'm thinking not! Thanks in advance.

Our Flair is 2006 registered built on 2005 chassis, its the registration date they go by when working out the colour of the disc so you could still be luckyI am officially an idiot. Our Hymer is not 2011 but 11 years old! So 2006! So I'm thinking it is unlikely that we'll get a green one?

I used this website. Although a few euros more than buying once there, it does mean that you don't have to worry about it once on your trip and also you will know where you stand.Have a look here Broken Link Removed
They charge €15 to and it arrives in the post, checking the web site suggests it is just registration date that matters so you should get green I think.

Only €6 from the Berlin office, or you can pick one up from any car dealer or TUV office for €5.Have a look here Broken Link Removed

If it is an X250 they are Euro 4 but if a X244 I think some of the later ones were Euro 4 but you would need a letter from Fiat to confirm.I am officially an idiot. Our Hymer is not 2011 but 11 years old! So 2006! So I'm thinking it is unlikely that we'll get a green one?

I think you just scan your V5 document and send that, if they can't see what emission class you are they go on date of first registration which is where we won as ours is a a 2005 chassis so would have been yellow sticker but on the first registered date we got green euro 4, the Berlin site you quote used the date 1st October 2006 as cut off for Diesel truck registration, where the Tuv Sud link uses the 1st January 2006 which could make the difference between euro 3 and 4 if they are issuing on registration date over paperwork. If it is an X250 they are Euro 4 but if a X244 I think some of the later ones were Euro 4 but you would need a letter from Fiat to confirm.
