In the past week ScotJimland & Dshage both put a link to Fylde Councils plans to run Aire's from some of the car parks, but when you read the thread did you go to the discuss bar at the top of the page when you opened the thread, a lot of the dark side have commented on the idea but not a lot off Motorhome fun, yet one of our members seem to be employee of FCC and championing the idea and even put a direct link to Motorhome fun.
Now if I was good on my lap top as Jim, or dshage I would put the link but don't know how to so if someone would put it on again I would be grateful.
It would be good to support this with a few more posts from FUN on their discuss thread. as every post will help the cause.

Put a comment on there 5 days ago but didn't sign as a motorhomefunster. Have since rectified it by editing my blog on their site.
Time well spent I think.
Adrian.

Aye, but not all subscribers. :winky:

Righty Ho, we've just been on and read Fylde's proposals, as well as the comments on the forum, and have added our twopennithworth.

If this comes off, it will be great news. We love that coastal area.

Cheers,

Jock.

started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
I have also sent copies of the article(s) to my local councillor, who is on the Tourism marketing panel. It is Wirral Council which is responsible for the Wirral Coastline from the Mersey, opp Liverpool to the Dee Hoylake Hesawall and West Kirby, popular sailing and golf areas. The only fly in the ointment is an objection from the Caravan Club who have a club site at Thursaston near Heswall, even t hough it is a part time site.

now why does that not surprise me:Angry::Angry::Angry:
Exactly. We don't want nor need full site facilities, the same as we don't want £20 - £30 nightly pitch fees. And many folks (us included), resent paying for hook up that we don't need either.
I don't recall them objecting to TFL over the LEZ charges, and trying hard for an exemption for it's members.
That must surely have had an impact on their London site revenues.

Regards,

Jock.

Reason I have been watching this with interest is where one Council starts others may follow and that can only be good for all of us, that may be optimistic but we can hope.
