I have the tyrepal solar pressure monitors, the ones with the rubber dust shields. I find these dust shields a PITA to put on because I have metal valves. I was wondering it they do actually serve any useful purpose and whether anyone else has, like me, thought of not bothering with them and if so were there any problems with the sensors as a result.

I turn them "inside out" and fit them, and just flick them over when done. Mine are metal valves (Ducato).
