Hi all does anyone know what the correct tyre pressure is on the
Peugeot 2.2/Elddis Sunseeker 140...........Many Thanks.
(Vehicle is same as Avantgarde/Suntor 140)</SPAN>
With this spreadsheet I made , you can calculate it yourselves , using the same formula that the tire- and car manufacturers use in Europe, and wich is up to now the savest calculation.
use 95% front and 85-90% rear for grip-percentage.
First collect the right data like Gross axle weight ratings and maximum load an reference pressure of the tires ( xxxx lbs at yy psi )
Mind that for LT tires this always is the reference pressure used in the formula, and not the maximum pressure. If the answer is higher than the RP then if the load comes actually to that wich belongs to that pressure, you must keep a lower speed to be save for the tires . But when the actual weight is below the max load of tire,it is no problem to ride with a higher pressure then written on sidewall.
When you come above it the damage will be less then with the RP.
But when the real weight is below 85% of what the pressure is calculated for , things begin to shutter in the car ( my own conclusion).
