    Good evening all
I have looked through the previous threads but am still confused  I have 2 questions below

    1. We want to set up a satellite dish outside of our motor home, so it is
not on the roof so we can just store it inside when not in use, my
    question is

Hubby wants to watch Eurosport and I want to watch the usual ITV, BBC
etc, is there a FREE way of doing this or will I need to subscribe to
SKY as per our home sky system,

Or do the free view boxes let you watch Eurosport ?

    2. If the above is not an option with Eurosport what is the best box to purchase
to watch the normal free view channels, or is it better to purchase a
Kit including box, dish etc ?
    ie : from ebay
    Silvercrest SL65/12 240/12v satellite receiver - Comag

with ZONE 2 REPLACEMENT DIGITAL SATELLITE DISH & LNB KIT NEW

    reagrds, Carol

basically any dish will do unless you are going across the water into europe then it needs to be a bit bigger.
if you are planning mainly to stay on sites with mains electric then the cheapest option is to take your sky box from home with you.
and just get a dish and lnb from maplin or ebay (i have an old sky minidish on our van)

the free sat boxes and the free to air boxes are good but SKY has a monopoly on channels and even scrambles some of the ones you get on your sky box without a subscription.
even though some of these are available on the digital terrestrial tv.

Just take your Sky box with you from home, then you will have your full sky package with you. Use an inverter to power the Sky Box if not on EHU. That's what we do.

We still use a standard Sky dish on a fold down tripod. It has worked fine from the very North of Scotland as well as France, Belgium, Holland & Germany.:thumb:

Our dish and tripod with quad lnb, 20 m of coax cable and a couple of the flat slim connectors that let the cable pass through a closed door or window was bought all new from eBAy for about £30 if I remember
