Trying to please everyone, it's not easy (1 Viewer)

Looking for a bit of help. We are trying to locate a site with a hotel adjacent to it in the Scttish Borders for a weekend get together in August. Long story but various relatives with various needs so the best option is a hotel and site( or a hotel that would also let us park, and accepts dogs):thumb:

The CCC site in Moffat is about 5 minutes walk from the town centre where there are quite a few hotels, if that's any help.

Not sure about the east side, but have stayed at Moffat C&CC site and it is within easy walking of the town and shops (less than 5 mins) and the town has a many different and varied accommodation alternatives, pubs, B&B, hotels etc.

Kirkcudbright has an excellent municipal site within a few minutes walk of the town centre.

Hi Gordon,cc/c lauder site is next to the carfraemill hotel both are pretty good,having said that i have not stayed in the lodge but meals and service is good.You can allso go to the c/c site at Melrose that site would need booked good choice of hotels and shops.

The Star Hotel in moffat (The narrowest hotel in the UK !) does the best pies ever !:thumb:

CC site in Melrose is a couple of minutes walk along the high street from the town centre.

Several hotels just two minutes (200 to 300m) walking distance.... you can see the site on the map...
