We have the above heater fitted, with electric and gas capability, always used it, or nearly always used it on the 240mains input.
However today just suddenly gave up and was blowing cold air around. Switched off, let it rest then switched back on, to no avail.
Still blowing cold.
So decided to look at the operating instructions for the first time ever.
VERY surprised. It tells me that mains power is
A SECONDARY HEATER ONLY.

The manual states it uses 4.5A at 1000W, so why should it also trip some sites power?

Any way as I sell Calor Gas and ain't bought a full cylinder for over 25 years
it will be on Calors finest from now on, and it's warmer and quicker to heat up

HAPPY XMAS TO ALL
Brugge at mo, somewhere in Holland Xmas eve.

The electric element is more of a backup to the gas heating, not enough to heat up on its own if its really cold. 4.5A could trip some site power as most European sites are only 6A, so with the fridge and charger as well could easily overload it.

Ah, right see now, I have always used it as normal so to save gas. On a car park right now in Cadzand, should have been a pitch but the whole place is waterlogged, bonus is a big 25a hook up put in as emergency set up for the 6 or so of us here, big box in middle of car park, with ten outlets, only two of us plugged in.
