I've come to notice the following...

Combi on GAS... No EHU... no heating on.

Heating water from "cool/cold"

If I set water to 60 deg... Water gets hot... and if I use some... It will re-heat and remain hot... until I turn it off at the panel..

However, If I set boiler to 40 deg. Water gets hot... BUT... if I run some off... It doesn't appear to re-heat to maintain the 40 deg temp!...

An example would be...
This morning I set water to 40... When temp gauge stopped flashing ( indicating water at temp)... I drew some off for washing breakfast pots...

Water heater left on at control panel...

Then at 3pm (temp guage in steady state i.e not flashing) I drew a little from the hot tap in bathroom to shave.. Only a couple of cupfulls - it felt like was starting to get warm; I don't let tap run until hot... I take it as it comes for shaving..

Then I get in shower and water is just barely warm - even with tap turned to full hot!..

If on 60 ... I always have to mix with cold because it's chuffin hot!!..

I'm wondering if there is some sort of thermostat in there that is "playing-up" when on 40 deg setting!...

Do any of you folk have any clues as to why this would be!... or any experiences like this?

This thing has been bought up before regarding the cp plus, what your describing sounds normal, we have the same system as you and many others do too, however i have not noticed ours not reheating the water when set on 40...not saying ours does i just have not noticed..truma i believe now decided to call the 40 a eco option, its very rare we use the 40 now as it doesnt heat much water but on 60 its scorching and you get a fair bit of it too..so what your explaining sounds pretty normal

Sounds a tad "illogical" not maintaining temp!?
Surely the thermostat would/should kick back in?... It can't be - heat once then forget!.. Eco or not... There must be a point (temp) when the "gubbins" says ... Time to heat or re-heat the water!.. :/

Unless you have to turn off and back on in order to "reset" it.... Mmm!..

From how I understand it the electric mode will not work off EHU.

When set to 40 deg once up to temp thermostat does not cut back in until water drops below 27 deg. Bleeding useless, on the old 6002 combi you could both get a shower when set to 40, not any more.

Yes that would make sense... Insofar as not running from 12v hab stuff.. And wanting 240v...
But i'm not on EHU.. Have it set to gas only...
