I've come to notice the following...
Combi on GAS... No EHU... no heating on.
Heating water from "cool/cold"
If I set water to 60 deg... Water gets hot... and if I use some... It will re-heat and remain hot... until I turn it off at the panel..
However, If I set boiler to 40 deg. Water gets hot... BUT... if I run some off... It doesn't appear to re-heat to maintain the 40 deg temp!...
An example would be...
This morning I set water to 40... When temp gauge stopped flashing ( indicating water at temp)... I drew some off for washing breakfast pots...
Water heater left on at control panel...
Then at 3pm (temp guage in steady state i.e not flashing) I drew a little from the hot tap in bathroom to shave.. Only a couple of cupfulls - it felt like was starting to get warm; I don't let tap run until hot... I take it as it comes for shaving..
Then I get in shower and water is just barely warm - even with tap turned to full hot!..
If on 60 ... I always have to mix with cold because it's chuffin hot!!..
I'm wondering if there is some sort of thermostat in there that is "playing-up" when on 40 deg setting!...
Do any of you folk have any clues as to why this would be!... or any experiences like this?
