Just had our combi 6E boiler repaired (replacement element) but now we have a noisey pump. This only happens when the tap is turned on for HOT water, water flows for about 2 seconds before the pump cuts in & then when the tap is switched off the pump continues for approx 8-10 seconds.

It sounds as though the pump is pressurising the system after a request for hot water. This didn't happen before - any ideas or thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

I thought 'air lock' but how do I get rid of it? I've tried running loads of water off but still no change.

At the moment no charge. Local dealer claiming under warranty as the unit is under 3 years old. We wait and see. I shall speak with them in the morning & see if they can rectify the air lock.
