evening all, why would there be a vent into the battery locker, and it is he first exit from the boiler
I have had several Hymers and this is the first time I have had a heated battery locker. Barrie

Keep the batteries toastie?
I think they work better warm, cold kills your batteries.
Edit. If it's first vent the locker may get very warm. Maybe you could restrict flow a bit to divert warmth to hab area

My boiler is at the rear of the Hymer and the battery is situated just behind the driver's door, the heated pipe is quite narrow - possibly an inch or so in diameter presumably to restrict the amount of heat blown into the battery compartment.

You'll find vented air pipes heating your water pipes too.

In our Auto Sleeper the batteries are fitted next to the Truma boiler and the Sargent charger which gets very warm, had no problems yet.

As far as I ca remember I read that batteries @ 0'c lose up th 50% of their power.
