We, I guess, like many MH'ers, have travelled 100's even 1000's of km/miles to visit a famous town/city, to see a particular building, monument, attend an event or maybe just sit on a favoured beach. Often it is forgotten that such things may well be on or very near our own doorstep, such was the case with us today
Being a special holiday here in Spain today, we decided to give the van a short run out as it has been lying idle for some time. We chose to visit a location a bare 35 miles from our home... Sentinel de las Bodegas on the Malaga/Cadiz border. It is known locally as the "Troglodyte Pueblo" famous for what were formerly ancient cave dwellings.
What a gem it proved to be, and a delight to wander around and have a great meal on the terrace of a charming "cave restaurant" on the main square.
Have created an album for those who might be interested in seeing a bit more of this amazing town. If you are in, or are planning a visit to this part of Andalusia..... Make the detour, you will not be disappointed.
