Hi Markymark,

I recommend Acorn caravan and camping site,in Llantwit Major, not far from Cardiff, stayed there last year, they allow dogs for a small fee,its close to the sea as well and has ehu, there are lovely walks around the area, must be fishing somewhere as it is located in the countryside.Llantwit Major is about a 15 minute walk.

Hi Markymark,

When you say South Wales do you mean around the Vale of Glamorgan area near to Cardiff ?(where I live.)

Or if you are willing to cast your net further to SW Wales then you have a lot more choice as in the Gower which I would heartily recommend:Smile:

There is Llanmadoc Camping and Caravan site on the Gower Penninsula or Three Cliffs Bay or Bank Farm near Port Eynon or Carreglwyd right on the beach there.

If you're a member of Caravan Club then there's a beautiful little spot near where I live. It's only 10 mins or so walk down a narrow country lane to a village called Craig Penllyn. It's a certified location called Isycoed Farm actually listed as located in City, Llansannor, which has coarse fishing nearby. This is near to 2 pubs with good grub and plenty of walks around the Vale countryside. What's more it's only 10/15 mins to the sea. Cardiff is about 25 mins by car and the lovely market town of Cowbridge is 5 mins away by car or just hop on the bus from Craig Penllyn.

There is Llandow Touring Park which is covenient for access to most of the Vale and Cardiff but it is situated at the rear of an industrial estate which may be off putting for some. (and near a Go Karting track!)

Or Acorn in Llantwit as previously mentioned. The Heritage Coast walks are amazing!
