Hi All,

Here's looking forward to our upcoming Grand Tour of t' North and taking toad. We have been waiting some time to get away for more than a long weekend and really, really looking forward to the break - Anyone around the following tour locations?
Give us a wave - :fatbuddha:
Setting off 24th April,:thumb:
1st - Kendal for a few nights, exploring the lakes in our toad and walking.
2nd - Culzean Castle (Ayr) for a few more nights, exploring Ayrshire in our toad.
3rd - Luss for a few nights, walking the West coast of Loch Lomond.
4th - Millarochy for a few nights, walking the East coast of Loch Lomond.
5th - Moffat for a couple of nights, resting up and looking for some pubs.
6th - Oswestry - a night there to break up the run back home.

Oh, the relaxation of it all....... We hope. :roflmto:

Regards,

Trikeman. :winky:

We went to Glasgow a good few years ago now - fantastic time there, also went to see Brian Adams in the Exhibition Centre. We had the customary visit to the 'Barras', now that was exciting,,,,,, in a strange sort of way.

Love Glasgow, but alas going by this time.

I live in Kendal

And I bet you may be coming to Somerset for some time in the future. It must be a 'human' thing, to travel somewhere else for their breaks. Many moons since I been to Kendal - I loved it there and around, such a beautiful area.
So many people say to me 'I love Weston Super Mare' (where I live) but when you live there it's just home. Only once I have ever been on it's famous pier - it's good fun watching the seagulls stealing people's ice creams and bags of chips though.
:roflmto:
We are looking forward to the Kendal part, the Mrs has never been there.

Regards,

Trikeman. :winky:

Oh well just keep the bunting for another time.
If you get fed up with Luss (usually 10 mins) take your van further up the loch and go right at Tarbet. (signposted Crianlarich) At Inveruglas, stop and have a cuppa beside and looking onto Loch Sloy power station. Then drive past preachers rock, then stop at the Drovers Inn opened 1705 and not decorated since (Great food) then a couple of miles further on the Falls of Falloch where Rob Roy McGregor got rid of his hangover(allagedly) on way to Crieff market.. After that turn round and head back to Luss approx 45 mins to 1 hour.

I'm a newbie
I love Scotland and am planning my first big trip wandering around up one side of the coast as far as Sutherland and down the other. I have friends dotted about to visit; I did this before with a trailer tent. It rained constantly and heavily on the West Coast - no surprises there then; but the sun came out once we headed east.
