Trike insurance for extended stay (1 Viewer)

On one of the other forums I frequent, a chap has how to get his trike insured for a stay of over 90 days in Spain. His current insurer won't entertain him. The only company that will is Carole Nash but they will only give him another month (not enough) for which he will be charged extra. Does anyone else have any ideas?

hi. every policy took out in an eu country gives minimum cover in all eu countries for the length of the policy . its covered but only minimum. many uk insurers do restrict full cover . some try and tell you that you arent covered except for their time allowed . but you are . cant find the exact eu law at the moment but the uk insurers should stop telling fibs.

Hi, its worth giving Saga a call, we use them on the van and smart no restrictions on the Insurance or breakdown cover, I think they insure just about anything.:thumb: Bob.

Motor Insurance in Spain

I use Linea Directa ( Spanish branch of Direct Line ) for my insurance in Spain, their telephone number is 0034 902 123 123, they all speak English.

Would agree with the earlier post about EU motor insurance being EU Wide.

Also bear in mind ..

he should register if he intends to live or reside in Spain for more than three months.

This may be the reason the insurance company won't do more than 90 days

Don't know if they can help with your friend's problem. I use BIKESURE and they helped me with a problem no-one else would.
