Traveling with dogs (1 Viewer)

We have 2 dogs (black lab and a staffie). What is the best way to travel with them securely. We only have 2 side sofas with rear kitchen/toilet. Very new to MHing any help?????

we use a cage for distance but very short journeys tethered between the driver and passenger seat

We put ours in the slow cooker, then its usually done by the time we arrive at our destination.

Only joking of course.

We have made a dog guard that fits behind the front seats and then our two just loaf about usually asleep without the worry of them getting under our feet or being thrown through the wind screen,but I don't drive at breakneck speeds.

We have two cairn terriers, Tilly has a dog harness as she feels more secure
and sleeps on the dinette seating locked into the seat belt fastening and Harvey lies at the footwell of the passenger seT. Harvey isn't harnessed but just sleeps when we are moving.

the speed you are travelling is irelevent, it is the speed of the lorry that hits you that counts. An unrestrained dog is not only a liability it is illegal. the inertia of a sleeping dog is the same as one awake. Ours are in harnesses chained to the rear of our seats.

Having read many of the early posts in this thread, we have many on here who are dog owners but not dog lovers.
Regardless of what the local regulations are, dogs should always secured, preferably in a secure cage.
Are dogs entitled to any less protection than us?

Does this mean I can't ask???????? or does it mean I can't get the dog out the MH during the ferry crossing?

You can not remove your dog from your van on the channel ferry ,you are not even allowed on the car deck during the crossing.
