Never taken a pet abroad but from what I've read on the forum before today the new rules appear to make it a lot easier, particularly the 1-5 day rule on worming.

Should make it easier and cheaper to travel. Says dogs only need the tapeworm treatment so easier for cat travellers. Hopefully ex-pats returning permanently to the Uk won't leave so many pets behind.

the 1 to 5 day rule is welcome

The new 1 to 5 day rule is very welcome, means we can see the vet earlier and not in such a rush in the last day (24 hrs before).. as we are based on the same site and use it as a base we can now go a day or so earlier... plus the no tick worm is also good news. But I doubt the vet will reduce the fee's ...

Thanks Jim for drawing our attention to the new rules.
