I have noticed with ours that if you set the dial to say 60 degrees for hot water ( on gas ) then turn on the Truma heater at the control panel I get the following :
Green light , orange light & the RED light .
BUT if I FIRST set the heating control knob in the OFF position then turn on the Truma heater at the CONTROL PANEL . Then select say 60 degrees it works ok with just the green and orange lighting up ok.
I have no idea why mine does that .
Have you tried Turing it on differently ..gentle like a woman :)

It's a capacitor that's blown, could be the electrolyte dried out & it shorted out or something else blew it. Tried searching Truma site for the board number but nothing found, I guess it's an old Truma heater.

I guess they are still available, but it could be something else blowing it.
I can't tell what it does as I don't have a circuit diagram.
£50 sounds a good deal. Unless it is just the capacitor at fault a few pence.
