hi, just bought a hymer E690, a smart car and a trailer. we want to tour scotland this year and I notice on some sites they will only accept tourers of 8 to 9 metres. would that include a trailer into the length. any other advice on towing a trailer would be most helpful.

    Hi, @david hodgson
If the site were operated by the Caravan Club they are only interested in the length of the motor home itself and not anything that it happens to be towing, either a trailer or say an A-frame.
However, some commercial site operators may have different ideas so if you plan to stay on one of those sites it would be better to check with them before hand.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your trip to Scotland.
    Stef.

They only need the size of your motorhome so they can make sure they have a pitch that you will fit on. We went touring Scotland in June and had no problem with towing a smart car on the back of our 30ft Motorhome our total length is 13mtr.
have a great time we did. Cheers Phill.
