Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
I've recently bought a second hand Mottez 4 bike carrier to use on the car and van, however I can't get it to fit!
Looking on the web it would appear that they all seem to be swan neck types whereas I have the ball with 2 bolts either side.Ive had a look but can't see any adapters or replacement swan necks.
Help needed please.

looking at the attached video it can be used with a regular flanged ball but it does appear to have a lot of clearance between ball and bodywork.

if yours has restricted clearance you may need a couple of flange spacers to move the ball away from the bodywork.

if the ball neck depth is not enough for the lateral slot to engage AND the ball to clamp you may need an ALKO ball...they are a longer/taller neck than standard.

for a flange ball fixing there must be a minimum of 50mm between ball and bumper and 30mm between ball centre line and bolt heads, measured horizontally.

to allow tailgate opening there must be 120mm between the top of the ball and the lowest part of the boot/tailgate opening.
