We decided to spend September touring UK, now I have to admit that the weather could have been better but were only stopped from following our plans 4 days the rest we enjoyed, any body else enjoyed September in the UK .
 Just realised all my photos are on my phone not I pad so will have to change over :imoutahere:

Traveling over the Llandegla Moors at the beginning of our holiday the heather was worth a picture.

Wonderful. Way back in 1974 we did a tour of Scotland in October staying in Bed and Breakfast or hotels. Truly beautiful. Often we would be the only tourists staying. So plenty of mixing with the locals. All the hotels were on the brink of closing for the season. Great fun. Fabulous scenery and fantastic food.

Weather was warm so we stopped off at Carew stayed a couple of nights, IMG_20160917_135651812_HDR.jpg
Enjoyed looking around the castle and was lucky enough to catch the Iron Man going right past
    IMG_20160918_143216154_HDR.jpg
2,600 entrants swimming 2 Miles cycling 112 miles then running 26 miles. What a privilege to see part of it.

More to follow off to watch 'The Big Build'. Amazing programme.

So true carol . Ralph and I are on our last 3 days of touring Scotland . The NC500, and the islands of Dura, Islay and Arran .
It's been fantastic. Great weather until the last 3 days , and no midges ! fantastic food , lovely scenery , and lots of history .
We've met Canadians , Americans , Chinese , Dutch who all love our country , with all its history . We are both tired , as weve crammed so much in. But it was worth it.

Cycled to Walton on Thames and Weybridge one day.
Next day we got more adventurous and cycled about 6 miles to Brooklands and Mercedes World

Kind of had to take last picture because of the number plate.
We then cycled on to Mercedes World

It's Apps Court Farm £21.50 a night with electric but because we choose to park down the bottom end by the river you need to use your own loo and shower.

We can't go into the LEZ zone (van to old) so it's really handy for us and easy to get to Hampton Court Station and from there into the city, as we can leave our bikes at the railway station.
