Totally rubbish exhaust heat shield gets worse

    Recently changed the crappy bacofoil silencer heat shield after it broke up and was making a racket flapping in the breeze.

    Fitted new one, moaning all the time about how poorly it was made.

    Two hundred miles later and......the flapping noise is back.

    A quick feel underneath and, you guessed it, the new heat shield has split already. Bugger bugger bugger.

    Fitted it properly. Bolted at each corner. Can't see how it could be flexing other than in the wind.

    Am I missing something or is the part just a bit of wank?

    Fiat Ducato 3.0 Multijet 160hp 2009. Bolted to an Alko Tag axle Auto trail Cheyenne 840d.

    I have that model Ducato with no problems at all..
    200 miles must indicate another problem surely?
