Hi to everyone. I have just jumped feet first into the world of Motorhoming.
The beast (2006 Swift 630L Lifestyle) will be taking up my drive as of next Saturday and as I know absolutely nothing about motorhoming, my question is this.

My first trip is planned and will consist of a week in (hopefully) sunny Devon.
I will however be leaving very late evening on the first day so will have to wild camp on the way to my first booked destination.
Can anybody out there please give me any pointers with regard to wild camping and any laws etc preventing the same.

    Thanks in advance

If you say where you're leaving from folk may be able to offer advice on suitable spots. As Rob says, be sensible (and considerate).

wild camping is not illegal in England and Wales, however there are some local restrictions that prevent it in a number of places. There are many CL's and CS's around the country where you may be lucky if you just turn up. Where are you travelling from and too?

Hi welcome to Fun. If we are travelling and just need a sleep place, we just use a suitable lay by , usually some lorries in. We have never had any trouble yet

Not wild camping but you can stay in service areas like lorries do (at a cost). Welcome by the way
