tomtom changing memory card (1 Viewer)

We need to put a bigger memory card in our tomtom go60 the existing card has some data on it, but unable to find out what. Not sure whether to not bother and hope update it needs sorts things out or use a card reader transferry thing which John has and make sure we dont miss out on some vital piece of information.
Good news is I worked out how to put routes off pc onto the satnav, great what reading the instructions does.
Have done several searches but not found the information i want/need.

Copy the data from your card into a folder on your PC then copy it to the new card. That way you have a backup on your PC as well

The Tom Tom software has an option to back up, I always do this before updating my sat nav. If you back up your sat nav then take out the memory card and replace it with the larger one, then update the software it should then copy the appropriate data onto the new memory card
