Hello all, my van has a double wheel base ( four wheels on one axle ) wil this change the category I will come under on french toll roads, thanks in advance. Regards Ian

You will be Classe 2 unless you are either over 3 metres high or over 3500 kg gvw

Generally you will be class 2..
We are over 3 mtrs and 4250kg but 90% of time pay class 2.
Occassionally if we get to an automatic only booth we get classed higher as it measures the height..
I have seen staff at the barriers look under the vans to check for double axles but very very rare...

Yes.. I understand and read that...
If he is over 3500, as per the need for twin wheels i guess. so like mine should be in a higher class but in practice most of us seem to get away as class 2.. :thumb:
