Just booked Eurotunnel for a trip in June/July. Heading over to France for a wedding near Poitier. We are heading over on the 28th June in the evening. Can someone reccomend a place/site near Calais where we can stop on the 28th before travelling on the next day? After the wedding we intend to spend some time in the Normandy area. Again are there some places/sites that are reccomended or are we as well sticking to the ones we can book through the caravan club? Additional tips and info welcome.

Check http://www.campingcar-infos.com/index1.htm click on the picture of the camping car then on the next screen on the left hand side under 'Les aires camping-car' click on 'chercher/ajouter une aire' on the next page scroll down to FRANCE and click on that then click on the department numbers 62, 80, 76 and 14 on the map and find the aires of your choice.

Calais has a very good Aire, well signed as you depart the ferry. Payment of fee is paid to the near by camp site. But they may be closed when you arrive!!

Just come out of the gate, turn right and follow your nose to the aire right on the mouth of the harbour, if this is full there is a site right nest door:thumb: http://www.frenchaires.com/
