NEW TO MOTORHOMING, BUT LOVE IT. LOOKING TO CHANGE HYMER SWING FOR A CLASS. LOOKING AT 2, MOOVEO 1683 FROM PILOTE, £30000, OR HYMER B544, £25000. HYMER HAS 78000 MLS ON 2004 PLATE, MOOVEO HAS ONLY10000 ON 2008 PLATE . PREFER HYMER, BUT CONCERNED ABOUT HIGH MILES. DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT MOOVEO - ANY FANS OUT THERE? ANY OTHER ADVICE?
THANKS TJR

Absolutely no contest in terms of the quality of the motorhome - the Hymer wins hands down. It is a high-end van whereas Mooveo is Groupe Pilote's budget brand.
Regarding mileage, 78,000 is nicely run in so long as it has been serviced properly.

Our Hymer has done a bit over 63,000 miles and I expect to keep it for several years yet. It is a Merc-based one but the Fiat 2.8JTD Fiat engine on a 2004 B544 is a good product. Just make sure things like timing belt have been changed when they should have, and that the Alko axle at the back has been greased properly each year - assuming it's a B544 with double floor and not a B544 Classic in which case the Alko point is not relevant.
