Hi

The tires on my mh do not have a speed designation letter/number however the owners manual says that a Light Truck should be driven at 81 mph Max.

Marked on the tire is: MAX LOAD 2680 LBS at 80 psi.

The tire is marked LT/225/75/R/E and so I think that I need a 225/75/R (I dont know what the E means) with a load rating of 2680 LBS inflated at 80 psi.

I dont know what the designation for the load is but what do you think, am I correct.

These are American Tires.

Hi I believe the "E" means its an 8 ply. this from google:

A = 2 Ply Rating
B = 4 Ply Rating = 35 psi max. load inflation
C = 6 Ply Rating = 50 psi max. load inflation
D = 8 Ply Rating = 65 psi max. load inflation
E = 10 Ply Rating = 80 psi max. load inflation
F = 12 Ply Rating = 95 psi max. load inflation
G = 14 Ply Rating
H = 16 Ply Rating
J = 18 Ply Rating
L = 20 Ply Rating
M = 22 Ply Rating
N = 24 Ply Rating
XL= Extra Load
REIN= Reinforced

When referring to speed ratings "M" is the speed rating for 81mph, I know cause I have just had to buy one.:Sad:
