after years of rebuilding the beast (1981 Mercedes 508d based Newlander)the rolling stock and engine etc are 100%, heating still needs sorting but health prevents me from scrambling around underneath or on the floor any more so could well be time to sell the beast and take the opportunity to get under 3.5 ton. So what do you think would anyone be interested in buying the beast. I would be looking for £6000 and will include a new mot if required though it still has at least six months to run, is also taxed so ready to drive to Morocco or where ever.

I thought you and the beast were a recognised institution.

Selling it would be like Wise without Morcombe.

Hi just wondered what you would replace it with under 3500kg. Must be anoying to have spent so much time on it and have to move it on looks a great machine. Can you not find ways around your issues or have you already looked into that. Hope you find a solution that suits your needs.

Bloody hell Roger, keep the Beast, better the old 'dog' you know than one you don't.

Take it from me, I have bought £30,000+ vans which I thought were perfect and drove 100%, they sell them and then they go in the workshop for servicing and hab checks and the workshop write War and Peace on them before they get out!
