I've got a Fiamma box mounted on a Thule towball mounted rack! Just the way it happened, had already got the rack and bought a used box that just needed a couple of holes drilled with a bit of strengthening metal strip I had lying around.
Obviously it would have been better to have matched kit and when I researched both Thule and Fiamma they looked fine.
