I cooked gammon in coke yesterday. Gammon was lovely but couldn't detect the coke at all. I usually cook gammon in orange juice - yummy.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Will have to try that. My neighbour said he cooked a piece in Dr Pepper.
I've made a boiled in Coca-Cola ham , roasted glazed with coarse grain mustard and honey , for Sunday lunch today. A firm family favourite of ours.

A few months ago I bought a Ralink USB directional Wi Fi aerial. Never had much luck with it in uk but now in Spain with poor wi fi on sites its worth its weight in gold picking up from the other end of the site :thumb:

Is it a fixed aerial I. e. Does it need an installer?

All freesat units can tune to non freesat channels
No they don't have a magic eye
But that can be resolved for a few quit on eBay
Tell me more Andy .. The Pace sky box does not support magic eye use so have been looking for a solution for some time

What's a magic eye?
Allows you to use the remote control on a unit that you cannot 'see' .
For instance, our Sky box is in a cupboard above the telly. I fitted a spare window support arm to the door so it can be held partially open allowing the remote to 'see' the box.
Far from an ideal solution and I would prefer to be able to close the cupboard and just have a magic eye mounted somewhere
