Aw our poor Amber ... We miss her so much and our home is so quiet without her ... But we cannot replace her ... At the moment ... But one day maybe. Just read this and I too feel sad :Sad:

this is pretty much the discussion i had with my wife when we lost our last 2 dogs. she was keen to have a break and let the loss sink in so she could get used to it. loving another dog was not going to be so simple, and would she love another as much as those we lost? i didnt see my new babies as replacements, i saw it as the legacy of my much missed babies and it seems a part of them still lives on. being able to offer a warm loving home to rescue dogs is so much more than just giving them a new life. to me it is all part of showing love and respect to all dogs.

of course this was written through teary eyes as it really does touch upon a nerve...THANKYOU for posting
