Hi, looks like the weather will be kind, possibly a bit breezey easterly wind but supposed to be dry & bright, so just booked 3 nights with Park resorts site over here on the island, £17.05 for 3 nights on electric pitch.( can't be bad) 200 yards from the beach . Don't normally go to these sorts of sites but at this time of year they offer silly prices just to put bums on pitches. We won't be using pool / bar / club, etc. we will be walking dog & relaxing.

CCC and CC need to do something like that! There prices are astronomical even at this time of the year. We are actually going to Horsley CCC site but got a 2 for 1 voucher but even with that it's still costing more than we'd usually pay elsewhere. Our friends tried to book yesterday for the weekend and the website is saying a minimum of 3 nights! what's that all about? They can't get away until Friday as they look after their granddaugher Thursday night.

I can understand 3 nights at bank holidays but at the beginning of October, it's nuts.

Now that the kids are back at school, these type of sites will be nice and quiet anyway! You can also get some bargains on the Haven sites

Get your friends to call the site direct and don't use the website

Ferry quite expensive if purchased seperately, can be somewhat cheaper thru ccc or when booking thru park resorts.

We once had a week at Rockley Park in Dorset, with EHU for £44 and that was in July just before the schools broke up. If you only use your pitch as a base, these parks are ok!

We like taking the Grandkids Haven, we booked beginning October Caister 3 nights £45 with Freedom trail card, decided on an extra night, worked out extra night free and £2.60 of the original booking don't quite know how their pricing structure works not complaining though and we're going over a weekend, deffo value for money.

When our kids were young we always went to haven, only having one week a year because of self employed farming, wanted to know that we were going to have a holiday the kids would enjoy, and never failed but now they have kids of their own they still go, but we haven't been for ages, apart from odd weekends.
But hey, here we are, and its all coming back, for the money don't see how you could beat it as long as you stay out of the bars

Found this a couple of days ago, attached to a theme park but offer for adults only outside school holidays £54 for 5nights Sunday to Friday morning. Thought we might give it a go, don't fancy the rides but the falconry displays look interesting!
