Not having a great weekend, having had fridge problems (now resolved).

When emptying the holding tank for the cassette toilet today, there was an odd rattling noise from within (the tank, not me)

After I'd flushed the tank out with clean water, I put my hand/arm in through the big hole, vet style, (aarrrgh) and pulled out the white plastic/nylon item shown in pictures below.

I've looked on line and can't see it listed as a spare, and toilet seems to work without it. But I can't see Thetford adding a bit of plastic just for fun, so guess it must do something..

Anyone out there know where it has come from, what it does etc?

The item is around 4 inches long and looks like it should push back into somewhere...

Might I respectfully suggest you pay more attention to what you eat in the future ! ?

That bit does not seem to be part of the system but must have come from somewhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Gromett , great answer, that's exactly what it is!

Thanks to @Stealaway , @tonyidle and @Jaws for investigations and looking too.

As its a wheel support thingy I'll deal with it next time it's empty, probably wait unti we get home as it'll probably be easier to deal with in the comfort of a garage than next to black water disposal point :D

the same thing has just happened to us!! the wheel bracket has fallen out somehow. milliethehymer how did you fix it back in??

thanks!
To be honest I didn’t bother, it’s never caused a problem!

Have to say I’d also decided that as long as the cassette was “water” tight, I’d carry it if there was a problem with the wheels..
