started off nicely here i the desert but a very cool breeze has started and it has clouded over a little.
we are cabined up now - Gwen watching movie, I'm listening to the Radio Newcastle commentary of the Sunderland v Swansea game

Tafraoute is clear and sunny and whilst the sun is out it's been very sit-out-able. However a chilly breeze has sprung up and now the sun 's gone down it's somewhat freezing round the essentials.

Sun burning off the cloud nicely. Chilly start of 8° but now 16° at 11am.
Feels warm to me, but Lynne just shouted "jeez Daz, shut the door" (cold blood in the morning)

a bit windy here at Merzouga this morning.
Its dropped now and its scorchio.
Due to change tomorrow so we will set off for Tafraoute and hope to be there on Thursday or Friday.

Tafraoute was b...y cold overnight but as soon as the sun came over the mountains the temperature just kept on climbing. No breeze today either so, as forecast, it's getting warmer.

Red hot here in Tata. Had to take shelter in the van at 4:00 cos it was too flipping hot to sit out any longer.

Not that high at Tafroute but definitly on the move now, last couple of days have been fine once the sun is up and it is definitly starting to climb. Pretty sure those cold winds have all but finished now.

Foum Zguid 31deg in shade at lunchtime. Went a bit hazy later and evening is now cooler than last night. Guy in restaurant says this is normal for time of year - he thought it was cold!

Helluva gale just blown up suddenly, with help from site staff got awning in before we lost it, despite tie-downs. Surrounding mountains hidden by the dust, thought it was developing into a sandstorm. Got everything inside before we lost it! Still very warm though!

Similar squall blew up here at Mirlift Terry around beer o clock and in fact its still blowing.

Yes we had a bit of a gale last night. I was thinking about bringing the awning in but left it too late to do it safely. Fortunately it is pegged down VERY well and survived the wind. It's getting a bit windy here today as well. That might be two consecutive Beer o'clocks cancelled due to the wind!

The wind eased a bit this morning but afraid its blown up again. Bright sky and sun but the wind factor is spoiling it for sitting out for beer o clock. Have arranged with Abdel to do us fish & chips tonight, his Yorkshire neighbour in Copenhagen used to fry fish and chips and serve em in newspaper, so he knows how we like em. We've got a few tins of mushy peas in the cupboard, perhaps I should take them as well.

A warm and perfectly still morning here at Tafraoute. Not a cloud in sight.
A complete contrast to last nights freezing winds!
14° at 9am. Sun lotion already applied.

Tafraoute Scorchio.
Sunbathing at 9:30 and had to put the awning out at 11:00 as it was too hot to sit in the sun. 25c in the shade.

Blue Rocks.
Sheltered valley 7km from Tafraoute.
Sitting in the shade.
Nearside wing mirror with temp sensor is also in the shade.
Reading is 37° at 4pm.
Must drink more!

Time to revitalise this post ..

Today , Marakech , cloudy 22c wind from the north west ,
( was 6c at the weee time of 7am )

looking at the week ahead weather ,

Kenitra , Asilah, showers heavy rain and cloudy ,
Chefchouaen rain and cold ,

Think we will stay here until after the weekend ,

Weather looks to improve around the 28th just in time to leave Morocco but looks good for Spain and Portugal ,

It's windy, grey and cool here at Moulay Bousselham today.
Arrived at midday after an uneventful drive from Meknes.

Some cloud but mostly sunny here in Merzouga, if not a tad cooler. Got all the washing done including bedding and its all dried and folded by 2pm.

You Funsters in the North of Maroc, plus Spain and Portugal can keep the wet stuff, we're sitting tight here.

Should all stay south if I were you. Been raining on and off for 3 days in the Algarve and not forecast to improve until next week. Think we're going to head north as forecast better there. We're really missing Maroc sunshine!
