Hallo everyone! We have owned a CI Carioca since 2004. Both we and our family have made very good use of it both in the UK and abroad. It's getting a bit old now (so are we!) but we still enjoy it and hope it will keep going for another few years. Our son told us about Forums, so here we are!

Thanks to you all for the welcome. To the chap with the similar vehicle but younger we're having problems with the water heater at present, like it doesn't work. We were quoted £900 by the dealer to fix it, so my husband is as we speak dismantling it and hoping he can fix it. So far he reckons that it was a leaking pipe rather than the reservoir itself, has repaired that but succeeded in blowing a fuse so that the fridge, water heater and fan for the heating are not working. It seems that there are other fuses tucked away somewhere apart from those on the main fuse board. Any clues anyone????

Judging by the repair costs, I am guessing the heater is a Truma. The parts can be very expensive but it may be worth searching Google for answers in addition to here for I seem to recall quite recently someone with a similar problem and solution. Start a search by looking up 'Truma troubleshooting' I hope this may help.

Thanks to all of you for your welcome/messages. We think we've solved the problem with the water heater and as you say it is a Truma! Been away for a few days and we had hot water!
