We had a beautiful warm and sunny day yesterday here in Benidorm. Hoping for more of the same today, however we have a cloudy start to the day this morning.

Gales and downpours in 39 provinces until middle of next week
By: thinkSPAIN , Thursday, March 7, 2013

TORRENTIAL rain, high winds and high tides mean weather warnings have been issued for 39 provinces across Spain for today (Thursday).
The whole of Andalucía, the Balearic Islands, Aragón, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, most of Galicia and Madrid will see gales of at least 90 kilometres per hour as well as downpours.
Málaga, Jaén, Granada and Cádiz will get the worst of the rain, whilst the whole of the south coast, including Murcia, plus the Balearics will see tidal waves.
Mountainous areas in Huesca and Girona in the far north may even experience avalanches, so people out skiing should take extra care.
Rainfall is less likely to hit the Mediterranean coast and the Canary Islands, and where it does it will be relatively light, says the State meteorological agency, AEMET.
The strongest winds are expected to be seen in the south-west of the mainland, the Balearics and Galicia.
Daytime temperatures will remain constant, according to AEMET, and night temperatures will rise slightly.
Rain is expected to continue throughout the mainland tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, except on the Mediterranean coast where sunshine and temperatures of between 18ºC and 25ºC in the daytime are predicted, falling to between 9ºC and 12ºC at night.
Sunday will be wet throughout the country, with thunder and lightning in the province of Valencia, but temperatures will remain consistent.
Most of the wet weather will be gone by next Wednesday, although another cold snap is on the cards for then with temperatures ranging from 6ºC to 9ºC inland and 12ºC to 14ºC on the coast, falling to as low as -5ºC at night in the centre and north and 2ºC on the Mediterranean and south coast.
