Sue of the Sahara came back to Cabopino last week and parked next door. She was all settled in for the long haul when suddenly she was offered a job as a camp guard ( sorry – Warden) :ROFLMAO: at a site in the New Forest starting next Wednesday.
So it was a hive of activity, booking a ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth, planning a route and camp stops and packing up the awning. However, we managed it all and set off this morning for Madrid. (17th). Safe journey Sue,::bigsmile:riving2: and good luck with the new job! See you in November.:thumb:

Oh dear Sue, if it is compulsory to be 100% grumpy, you may fail at the first hurdle !

Still if someone tells us where you are, I'm sure we can arrange to turn up en masse and goad you, and try and get you in the right frame of mind for the job ..... :roflmto:

Good luck with it anyway, and you never know, when they meet you they may have to eat their words - all those 'All site wardens are grumpy' ones!

Bloody hell Sue, have brought you the sun and now you off. Did you get chance to wear that polka dot bikini, cos you wont have chance to wear it in the New forest.

:thanks2: for all your good wishes.

Am sitting at a campsite (the usual spanish type :ROFLMAO:) near Madrid and it's been non stop rain :rain::rain::rain:

However, have found a great radio station playing some superb tracks :thumb:

I will be Site Assistant at Setthorns, a CCC site in the New Forest, but open to all.
No facilities but I do believe there is electric ::bigsmile:

So it would be lovely if any Funsters drop by :welcomefunster:

Sues at Bilbao

For all Sue followers - she's made it safely to Bilbao & is parked up at the dockside with about 30 other vans. No wifi & no shops & isolated - she says.

But she's ready & waiting for the ferry at 1030 tomorrow morning.

Bon Voyage!::bigsmile:

Re new job

Nice one sue for getting the job, the site your going on is a nice one in the forest most have electric, but like here no toilets or showers.
I arrived here last week to a building site, the club decided at the last min to upgrade the site, still no toilets etc except for us a new office (soon) (ish )
new shower and loo, its a beautiful site though.
We opened today, went ok, the computer booking system is a nightmare but you will walk it.

Good luck, and have fun down there.

Congratulations :thumb:

I stayed there a few years ago....great location. Not much lighting, so a torch was essential....I went to fill up the fresh water one night and there was an owl staring down at me. Didn't jump...honest!
