Lake district sites

Probably too late now, but if you are ever in that area again, there are
lovely sites in kendal.
5 minutes from the town and looking out over a lake .
Great walks around the lake and child and dog friendly.

Have stayed at the both CCC in Keswick, which are excellent and a short walk into town. You may have to book two night.

Only requirement for Keswick, to me, appears you have to have a dog, walking boots and a stick. Never seen so many but a really nice town and area.
