So he is nice to Welsh people
Eddie
I think that quote is from 'Cry God for Harry, England, and Saint George!' speech of Shakespeare's Henry V, Act III, 1598
Hmmmm....
Henry V was born in the tower above the gatehouse of Monmouth Castle castle in the town of Monmouth, county town of Monmouthshire, south east Wales.
His mother Mary was the daughter of Humphrey de Bohun, 7th Earl of Hereford, and Joan Fitzalan (1347/1348-1419), the daughter of Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel and Eleanor of Lancaster. Through her mother, Mary was descended from Llywelyn the Great.
So having a 'Welsh' mother and having been born in Wales... He is Welsh
must be awfull to have to share a flag with so many other nations and stuff
"St George's Cross has been adopted on the coat of arms and flags of several countries and cities which have St George as a patron saint, notably Georgia, England, Aragon, Greece, Genoa and Barcelona.
The cross is also found, for various reasons, on the provincial flag of Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel (the 3 provinces of Aragón) as well as the municipal flag for numerous cities, including Montreal, Almería, Milan, Genoa, Padua, Zadar and Freiburg im Breisgau. It is also the basis for the Four Moors flag of Sardinia. Guernsey was permitted to use it as its state flag between 1936 and 1985."

Treacle, dragons are mythical, as in "not real".

Dragons aren't real
Perhaps as real as St George being English?
Nothing to prove.

Born of a noble military family in what is now Turkey.
Served in the Roman Army, executed for refusing to give up Christianity.
Ther's a new thread in this, bungy......they gave us roads.
Could be worse.....He could have been Welsh.

Gosh where do I start?
Van Bitz, Eddie as he's better known
From Somewhere in Devon, he hails.
A keen Van Bitz exporter and Rugby supporter
But deep down he supports Wales...........

Seeing as there's been all these English flags on here for St. George's Day, does that mean that there will be a St. Andrew's cross on here for all Scots come the 30th November?
And of course the Welsh flag for St. David's day when it comes around again next year?
I would hope so:thumb:
