We were planning to head to France in May to follow the Loire from source to sea but the persistent rain/wind/cold in the UK has finally got to us. So it's off to the Costas on Sunday for 7 weeks. Any Funsters around Calpe (CalpeMar), Javea, Benicassim (Bonterra Park)? Are they full or spaces?

We've just been through that area, we had a few pitches to choose from at Bonterra Park. Camping Javea was booked until March, we got the last pitch at El Naranjal. Nothing in Calpe. We're currently wilding at El Campanello, our first 2 choices here also full.

Our advice - try to reserve by email even if only a day in advance.

We got the last pitch here in santa pola, lots of reports of places full.
We reserved a pitch at el campello ,the Aire was full too.
We were going to move Sunday but some sort of festival is on this weekend so we're staying until Monday.

Booked today for next 2 weeks at Benicassim (Azahar) no problem.
We are at Benicarlo at present (camping Alegria del Mar) which is about full,I'm sure it would be best if you book in advance.

Wow! Thanks for all your comments so far guys. Guess it looks best to make a few enquiries and go against the grain of booking in advance. Hope to catch up with a few of you in the next couple of weeks. Enjoy the sun

We are booked onto El Naranjal for a week end of Feb, (its full) then denia meeting friends till 7 march on los pinos (that's full) then benicassim (bonterra) till mid April, that's very busy but think there's limited spaces. Lots wilding on the beach north of Santa pola if that's what you want.

Thanks parknride. Prefer sites but good to know that there is contingency for the wilding. Guess we're going to be busy today!. Bonterra looking favourite. Hopefully some spaces left. Enjoy your time there.

Very few people are going to Morocco this year. The sites in and around the sunny side of Spain are heaving with Scandinavians and those that would normally be slumming it in the desert. :sneaky:

Will be in Javea about 12th March trying to book Camping Javea, for week , they are full now, will not accept bookings for March, just say give us a call the day before, they may have space. Does not inspire confidence.

Remember there is always space on one of the 6 sites around Benidorm. You either love it or hate it. We spent some fab winters there until bad health stopped us

Thanks teensvan99. Hope the health issues have stabilised and are starting to improve. We might just meander down there and check out as you suggest

Enquired at Bonterra Park but the response we got back was that all big pitches were booked until end of March and all that was left were the 50/60 sq m pitches so are giving it a miss. Managed to get into Alegria del Mar at Benicarlo. Will review availability after a couple of weeks

we managed to get a "gold" pitch at Bonterra park, may be worth going to reception and getting a list of the available pitches and having a walk around, javea gave us the same response to call in the morning in case someone moves out or fails to turn up.
