Hi, Picked up ours last week and it was a great experience. Seems like they specialise in 'special' days, we picked up on our 42nd wedding anniversary! Getting ready for the 1st trip next week end!

Great product with good service is a winning combination. Really pleased so far, just had the drive back from Newark but now reloading with everything from the old van. Not quite everything as we're down sizing slightly but the deep double floor area is great and swallowing most things. Lafuma relaxing chairs do take up a lot of room. I'm told they are a necessity! Enjoy your pick up!

We are on our first Frankia, not picked it up yet, 2 weeks today. Problem is ours is a 2004 model, not like all your new ones. Still quality though(we hope)

I hope it is quality steve and gina. It certainly oozed quality on viewing despite the age. The main issue is damp in a van of that age, it looked all good though, real class feel to it, the fixtures and fittings really robust, little things stood out like door handles etc. Underfloor all GRP, I had viewed lots of hymers from the age we could afford and a lot of them had rotten floors, I was shocked, a quality van like a Hymer and they use a cheap 2 bit chipboard floor underneath.

Hi Cazpaul
You can always have it damp checked as part of your negotiations for peace of mind

Do not forget to get SMC to sort out your membership off the Pilote Owners Association or first year anyway. They organise trips to the factories in the group Frankia this year, sadly we are unable to go.

Enjoy the van(y)

We bought a four years old Frankia, four years ago, and it has held together.very well! The point about the GRP underfloor and damp is well made. Occasionally think of changing it, but beset by doubts that a newer model could be significantly better. A great van. Also impressed by SMC at Newark.

how did you cope with the wait

The wait that SMC offered me is where we fell out, I ordered it at the Feb 2015 NEC show and after about 6 weeks he said the May delivery was not going to happen and if all went well I would get it in the Septmeber.

That's when I phoned the factory and they put me in touch with a dealer who had pretty much the vehicle I wanted fresh off the production line.

There was a possibility that my days were numbered and I was not going to wait through what might have been my last summer, here I am two years later still enjoying life.
