Several months ago I posted that my whisper quiet, faithful old 1000 Kipor was out of action due to a leaking float chamber needle valve.

This meant that when using the Hymer I was now no longer able to use the small, electric oven to cook Fray Bentos pies as my whisper quiet 700 Kipor was not quite muscular enough for the job.

What is more, when visited by a certain French VIP, her travel hair dryer wouldn't work either.

Reading of my woes, Brian (treetop) contacted me and said he had a spare, brand new new replacement carb for this model.

Spending far more time and effort than he should have he sent me this and it arrived yesterday.

It has now been fitted and the whisper quiet, well less than half the price of a Honda (nasty RED things) is up and running again as smooth as non crunchy peanut butter.

SRAR is a local word standing for someone who is Seriously Ready to Assist Roadies... and Roadies assist the STAR... which is only one letter different from a SRAR and the different letter is adjacent and anyway bad spelling is not a problem on this site. :thumb:

Actually I was one bolt short (holding the on/off twisting knob on.)
